On October 22, 2021, the State Bar of Georgia’s Commission on Continuing Lawyer Competency (CCLC) permanently changed the regulation related to distance learning for Georgia lawyers.

Moving forward, lawyers can complete all of their annual CLE hours (12 CLE hours) or any portion of their CLE requirement through approved distance learning CLE programs. This means Georgia lawyers are no longer required to attend an in-person CLE course to complete their annual CLE requirement.
